Pair this flash with a Nissin Di866 Mark II flash, a Nissin Di622 Mark II flash or own brand Canon or Nikon flashes to create even more lighting effects. Firmware upgrades available --------------------------- Thanks to the Nissin MF18 Macro Ring Flash's USB terminal, firmware upgrades are available to 'future proof' this unit. Colour auto rotate display -------------------------- The Nissin MF18 Macro Ring Flash is as easy to use as it is effective. The colour display will automatically rotate ape the angle you're using the camera at, whilst the straightforward interface displaying six colourful mode/menu icons makes for simple operation. These icons are for Full Auto Mode, TTL Mode, Manual Setting Mode, Fine Macro Mode, Wireless TTL (Master) Flash Mode and Custom Setting Mode. Modelling LED ------------- The LED focus lamp with light power ratio control makes it easy to direct focus onto the subject being photographed. My TTL setting -------------- The TTL exposure level is automatically set according to Nissin's own standards, but can also be manually tweaked by +/- 3EV in 1/3 steps as desired. Quick loading battery magazine ------------------------------ The Nissin MF18 Macro Ring Flash features the same battery magazine system as the original Di866 and the Di466 models, with the ability to conveniently slot in all four AA batteries facing the same direction. Also provided is a USB port/socket for upgrading to the latest firmware. Rear curtain sync and high speed shutter ---------------------------------------- Utilising rear curtain sync, the flash fires just before the rear curtain closes. This can be utilised to stunning effect. For example if using this function at slow shutter speed, a moving subject will appear with trails of light enhancing the impression of movement.
